Welcome to the Cardiff School District website. Cardiff School District is located on the coast thirty-four miles north of the city of San Diego. We are a district of two schools, Ada Harris and Cardiff School. Cardiff School serves three hundred eighty students in kindergarten through third grade. Ada Harris serves four hundred students in grades three through six.
The staff in Cardiff School District is committed to providing all students with a quality educational program in a safe and caring environment. Our teachers, administrators and classified staff work together to provide a standards based and coordinated curriculum. The program includes successful interventions designed to allow all students to experience success. Both Cardiff School and Ada Harris have been designated as California Distinguished Schools.
In Cardiff, the school district, parents and community work together to make our schools great places to learn. A strong Cardiff Education Foundation (CEF) and active Parent Staff Organization (PSO) provide substantial financial and volunteer support. Together these organizations fund specialty teachers in technology, science, music and physical education. In March 2000, the community passed a local bond to build a new Ada Harris facility and completely modernize the Cardiff School site with the addition of a new library, computer lab, art/science lab, special education classroom and offices. The construction project has been completed and Cardiff students, staff and families enjoy and are proud of their first-class facilities.
Please check out the Cardiff School and Ada Harris homepages for more exciting information about our great schools.
Sincerely,
Tom Pellegrino
