Inspiring a love of learning

Welcome to the Cardiff School District

  • Fire Update 12/08/17  6:40am
    Dear Cardiff Schools Families,

After monitoring the local fire situation overnight in collaboration with the superintendents from our neighboring elementary districts and the San Dieguito Union High School District, we will remain open on Friday, December 8, 2017. As a North Coastal school community, we will continue to follow the news and remain in contact to coordinate our efforts.

The air quality for our area is designated as moderateand indoor alternatives to outdoor activities will be made as needed. We will continue to closely watch fire developments and will notify our school community should anything change.

Many of us have family and friends who have been affected by the fire--please keep them and our brave first responders in your thoughts.

Established in 1913, we are a small school experience by the sea. Our district consists of two award-winning schools; Cardiff School serves students in grades K-3 and Ada Harris School serves students in grades 3-6.  Cardiff Schools provide a great education in a high performance district. We are proud to be part of a community with high expectations for education and achievement. Our schools provide a positive foundation for a lifetime of learning and friendships. At Cardiff Schools, students discover, find their passion, and develop a love of learning.

The pride of the Cardiff-by-the-Sea community, our district is a place where students, staff, families and community partners collaborate and feel valued. We are grateful for the support of our stakeholders and we are extremely proud of our community of learners.
