Speech-Language Pathologist

Welcome to the Ada Harris speech and language webpage. I love being a part of the Cardiff School District community. As a speech-language pathologist I assess and treat a variety of communication disorders including speech, language, voice, and fluency. Formal and informal measures are used to describe the nature and extent of impairment, and to record and analyze speech and language irregularities. If a student meets the qualifications for services, I help develop an individualized education plan (IEP), tailored to the student’s needs. In speech-language therapy, students are taught how to make sounds, improve their voices, or increase expressive, receptive, or pragmatic language skills to communicate more effectively. I always look forward to working closely with parents, teachers, and staff to best meet the needs of our students.
