Suicide Prevention

Commitment to Student Safety and Well-Being

Cardiff School District is dedicated to creating safe, supportive schools where every student can grow mentally, emotionally, and socially.

If a student ever feels unsafe, is having thoughts of suicide, or is worried about another student, we encourage them to reach out right away to a trusted adult — such as a teacher, school counselor, school psychologist, principal, or any other staff member. Every report or concern about suicide is taken very seriously.

If a staff member believes a student may be thinking about suicide or notices signs of self-harm, they immediately notify the principal, school counselor, or school psychologist so the student can receive the help and support they need.
