In partnership with the Superintendent, the Board ensures that Cardiff Schools provide a high-quality education in a safe and supportive environment for all students.
Key Responsibilities

- Budget and Finance - Adopt and oversee the District budget, working with the Superintendent to ensure responsible use of taxpayer funds and long-term fiscal stability.
- Curriculum and Instruction - Review and approve educational programs, curriculum standards, and instructional materials, with input and recommendations from the superintendent and staff.
- Personnel Leadership - Hire, evaluate, and support the Superintendent, who in turn manages day-to-day District operations and personnel. The Board works closely with the Superintendent to foster strong leadership across the district.
